Metal Gear Solid 4 - Guns of the Patriots (Metaru Gia Soriddo 4 Ganzu
obu za Patoriotto) is commonly known by its abbreviated name MGS4. It is
a secret action video game developed by Kojima Productions for
PlayStation3. The Guns of the Patriots is the latest version added to
the Metal Gear series directed by Hideo Kojima.
 The game was released worldwide on June 12, 2008, ten years after the
release of Metal Gear Solid and twenty years after the release of Metal
Gear in the U.S. The game got critical acclamation as one of the
greatest games of this generation and received Game of the Year awards
from several major gaming publications.
The Metal Gear franchises sold around 4.75 million units in the year of
2009.
About the game
The Metal Gear Solid 4 is set in the year 2040. The economy of the world
depends on continuous war fought by Private Military Companies (PMC)
which is more in number than the government military forces. The PMC
soldiers are equipped with nanomachines which enhance their abilities
and control the pressure on the war field.
The control network created through these nanomachines is called Sons of
the Patriots. Liquid Ocelot, a character of the story is trying to
hijack the system. If you play as Snake, then accept a request from Roy
Campbell to terminate Liquid along with Otacon and Sunny who will
provide mission support from the Nomad aircraft.
